Why “HER Move”?
V1 Studios Account Manager Katherine Newton selected the name because it’s assertive, powerful and action-driven. It’s not about waiting for change—it’s about giving female athletes the platform to make their move.
At V1 Studios, we shape brands into storytellers—and the stories of women deserve to be told, heard and amplified.
Yet, for too long, female athletes have been left out of the narrative, forced to fight for the visibility, funding and opportunities they deserve. The numbers don’t lie: at the current rate of progress, full gender parity in sport won’t be achieved for generations.
That’s why HER Move exists. We believe in stories that matter, stories that create impact, and stories that deserve to be heard. This isn’t just about sport—it’s about elevating voices, breaking barriers and ensuring that women have the platform to take their next step forward.

How HER Move Will Support Women
Every dollar raised through HER Move goes directly toward funding elite female athletes, ensuring they have the resources to compete at the highest level. We recognise that financial barriers often hold women back from reaching their full potential in sport and we’re committed to breaking those barriers.
Here’s how HER Move will provide support:
Travel & Flights – Covering the costs of getting to national and international competitions, so athletes can focus on performance, not logistics.
Training & Recovery – Supporting access to world-class coaching, strength programs, physiotherapy and recovery treatments to keep athletes at their peak.
Competition Fees & Equipment – Helping athletes cover registration costs, uniforms and essential gear so they can train and compete without financial strain.
Visibility & Storytelling – Using our platform at V1 Studios to highlight the journeys of female athletes, giving them the recognition and opportunities they deserve.
Nomination & Selection Process
We’re committed to ensuring that funding goes directly to the female athletes who need it most. In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing further details on how women can apply, how nominations will work and how selections will be made.
Our goal is to create an open, transparent and impactful selection process that prioritises:
Athletes with demonstrated talent and commitment – Those competing at an elite level who need financial support to take their next step.
Women facing financial barriers – Athletes who lack access to crucial resources like travel, coaching, recovery or competition funding.
A diverse range of sports – Ensuring we uplift women across various disciplines, from track to team sports, endurance events to emerging competitions.
As HER Move grows, we want to create an ecosystem of support—not just funding, but visibility, mentorship and opportunity.
